1. my wife is way into that show as well.

the family they're staying with reminds me too much of some of the relatives i have in texas and oklahoma... so it broke my heart to see that poor lady sitting out on the picnic table waiting for paris hilton to pluck a chicken with her.

2. Nicole appears to have had a modicum of "raising"

She at least makes an attempt to say the right thing, some of the time. Paris, on the other hand is either a truly remarkable actress or the sincere embodiment of white trash.

Time will tell..

3. it's weird, they both seem to have a very basic grasp of manners

at least in face-to-face interaction, they're not overtly rude and mind their P's and Q's. But then, they act like jackasses and put up "1/2-price anal" on the burger-stand marquee.

It's hard to know who to feel worse for on that show. And, since the family presumably signed on to the deal voluntarily, I assume they can handle it.

5. I don't get that from Paris at all

She seems to let Nicole handle that part, the "thanks for having us," stuff, and just seems to have the most bored and disgusted expression on her face even when people are talking to her.

The stuff with the sign I didn't pay that much attention to, of course they are going to do stuff like that, that's what the show is about, and for all I know, they could both be acting.

The family will have been paid, and presumably well, for their participation and trouble, having a camera crew around all the time would be a real pain in the butt, I think, even if you didn't have two brats in the guest room!

I think it's gonna be a spanking, though I don't know who'll deliver it. I'm hoping it's the little kid (Claxton, I think?); he's already proven to be pretty adept with the swatter, and it would be funny to see.

4. I keep forgeting when it comes on.....

So much going on with the debate and all I just plain forgot. I wonder if they'll re-air any of the episodes? I'll bet not, Fox doesn't usually do that.
I like some of the reality shows, I Watch MTV way too much. RR, RW, Nick and Jessica and Ozzy.
