New Englanders; must have an answer to this question!
Ok, ok, this is just one of those nagging things I can't let go of, so you may as well humor me and anser..

Do you have a nickname for clams or oysters or other mollusks that sounds something like clinket?

That damned VIOXX commercial is on all the time, where the old coot is out collecting clams (I think) along the seashore and saying he doesn't want to ... (paraphrased: do wild young kind of things) that all wants to do is get out each morning and surprise a few ________. Now, I've heard that commercial five gazillion times, and I swear it doesn't sound like he says clams, but that is what was transcribed on closed captioning. It sounds like he says clinket...

That's your trivia question for the day, so I can get back to other life and death issues! Thanks!

1. Sorry...I always thought he said "clams."
Nothing more.

But he's full of crap. I want to surf! I surfed in my teens and twenties. Now I'm 45 and snowboarding and playing competitive volleyball, too! No VIOXX, here, man!

OWW! Dammit...I sprained my pinkie stretching for the return key.

3. clams
me and my SO always laugh at that commercial. the old man is really looking forward to surprising a few clams. I wonder if that's some old war jargon the guy's hearkening back to in his senility, from his days in Ko-Rea, referring to looking for the local hookers.

5. Thanks... guess I need my hearing checked!
Only good part about the commercial is the dog running up the beach. My pup loves to bark at it! :eyes:

6. I was under the impression that was NOT New England
I always thought it was MidAtlantic or Carolinas. Something at the beginning gave me that impression.

Isn't that the ad that never tells you what the drug is for? I hate things like that.
