I was one of the featured guests on one of our right-wing radio talk shows yesterday (do we have anything else?) and was asked to talk about the Dean campaign. This is like the third time I've been on with this bozo -- anyway, near the end of the show, one of our local neandertals called in to inform me that since *I* was a liberal, (I'm not sure what happened to the DEAN topic here), and I, by definition, was IMMORAL AND EVIL!

The host then replied: "Thanks for calling in and we're out of time." :eyes:

Ya just gotta love the knuckledraggers, they're so, well "colorful."

...send a little op-ed piece to the local paper outlining all the "liberal" ideas that these bozos avail themselves of. You know, such evils as Medicare, Social Security, Rural Elictrification...all those things...Carville's book "We're Right And They're Wrong" has a great list of liberal acheivements we should be trumpeting!

Dale Julin -- he's a smarmy little prick who SWEARS he's an independent. If the guy could locate that other brain cell he MAY just be able to put together a coherent thought. Unfortunately, all we have around here is right-wing radio (he follows Hannity) so we have to grab whatever airtime we can get.

The first time I was on he tried his best to goad me into trashing the other Dem. candidates, which I refused to do. After the show he criticized me for wanting to talk about issues. <smacks palm on forehead> Silly me! He also told me that I was too low-key. Now, I've been called a lot of things in my 48 years but never EVER low-key.

That reminds me of something that happened the week before Thanksgiving. I was out the the local university registering voters and some fundie preacher came out WITH MIC to preach against the evils of, oh, I don't know, pretty much everything that wasn't white, male, protestant and straight. Anyway, he started railing against homosexuals, which totally pissed me off so I started chanting "We're queer and we're here!" I swear to the goddesses this is true: By chance a couple of gay women walked by at precicely that moment and joined in the chanting.

The person who was working the table with me was crackin' up (she knows I'm hetero) and I told her, "You think I've been hangin' out at Stonewall too long?" (The Stonewall Democrats is a club dedicated to GBLT issues and one in which I and my husband are members.)

I don't know why but your comment just made me think of that.

that all we have here also is rw radio and in the past I listened to it to see what was the current range of thought and issues for this set of people. I listen now for laughs. It is the same message over and over again and always ends with the source of all evil in their minds being Bill and Hillary. Now as to your morals I lost the name of your website so could you pm that to me again if that is not too much trouble I wanted to show it to my wife. Hang in there and don't stop talking.
