If I'm standing in line somewhere and I'm bored, I sometimes play a small brain game. If I have change in my pocket, I look at the date on each coin and try to remember something that happened, either in history or in my life, on that date. I like to remember things.

I had a big one on this date in 1974, clearly one of the pivotal events in my life: my mother died. Good christ, has it really been twenty-nine years? I have been so many different people since then. I like who I am now the best.

1. My mom and dad didn't even know each other then

they were going to college at the time.

I was 10 weeks and one day old. :D

5. On this date in 1976

my future bride and I went on our first for real date. We went to Las Cruces to see Rod Stewart. He canceled at the last moment, but it was the start of a wonderful and lasting relationship. For a long time we used this date to hunt down our Christmas tree, now we have a good looking fake tree, that's OK we still mark today as our hanging out anniversary.

Our 20th wedding anniversary is in July. What a great 27 years it's been.:pals:
