God, SNL sucks so hard these days!
Even Kevin Spacey hosting can't save this train wreck.

Oh well, at least I get to hear a new song from my guilty pleasure of 2000, Nelly Furtado, in a few minutes.

5. he said she actually really sweet
and spoke highly of her. they stayed in touch up to that point, which is right when she really took off. haven't talked to him in years, though

6. I saw her at a local music festival back in 2001
Actually wasn't terribly bad. Her new stuff is awful from what I've heard.

8. Wow
Edited on Sat May-20-06 11:26 PM by Superman Returns
I watched it tonight in the hope of seeing a skit dedicated to my new movie. what i saw was pure trash with the exception of the usual suspects skit and the Bush cartoon. god, put this show out of its misery.

14. I totally agree
I was hoping to see some more tv spots of Superman Returns, and saw one, towards the beginning of the show, and i wasted another hour plus, of my time/life hoping to see a bit more, and was dissapointed. SNL on the other hand, the cartoon tv funshouse bit, was about the only thing i laughed at during the whole show..its amazing, when you get top caliber talent on SNL and they make them seem...dumb...

9. The TV Funhouse cartoon was funny, though
Everyone spitting on Bush!

My favorite part was the deer spitting and Karl Rove trying to drag it off camera. :D

13. Yeah, TV Funhouse was f'ing hilarious, but I haven't laughed since.
The weekend update is sucking so far, which is usually good regardless of the rest of the show.

when the original cast left.

15. Come on....
It never really was that good.....

Just something quircky and strange to put on TV to get drugged out kids to watch TV....

Although, they have always tried to keep the mucial guest on the cutting edge....

17. Do you ever watch reruns with the original cast?
It doesn't stand the test of time, I'm afraid. I remember laughing at the time, but I was 9-13 years old. But if you look at it now, it really isn't funny. It's John Belushi repeating cheesebugga hambugga over and over again. Most of the skits were completely unfunny.

To me, SNL has had great moments in every season, but that's all they are - moments.

16. I liked 'The Falconer' but turned it off right after that sketch.
TV Funhouse is the only saving grace these days.

I really find that Andy Samburg guy annoying as hell.

20. isn't SNL pretty much a product placement vehicle
for large "hip" chains/consumer items geared to the 18-26 m/f demo?

Then it's funny? I wouldn't know...

Actually, I laughed a few times last night -- well, snickered.
