Need help with an offbeat christmas tune |
|
by an irish punk type band....
the lyrics start
"was christmas eve my friend, in the drunk tank the old man next to me said "I won't see another one"
the refrain was singing about "the boys in the NYPD Choir were singing (something mumble mumble) and the bells were ringing out for christmas Day"
anyone anyone?

3. the boys . . . were singing Galway Bay |
|
is how it goes.
Damn. I wish I had less cassettes and more CDs (or more inclination to hookup tape drive to PC) so I could burn myself up an Xmas mix to complete with my wife's slavish devotion to the local Clear Channel station that's gone All Bing Crosby, All The Time for the rest of the Holiday Season.

I have it on a Greatest Hits CD of theirs, along with "Dirty Old Town." Great band.

5. I actually burned a Christmas CD with |
|
that song on it (Fairytale) and a couple of Cocteau Twins songs (Winter Wonderland, Frosty) and some of the more well known staples Waitresses, Bing and Bowie, etc.
