My head has been stuffed with alien goo, I can't breathe, I'm hot or cold, my skin hurts and I can't afford a physician.

I'm doing a combo of Aka Seltzer Cold Plus and Nyquil...

Which means, I still hurt, but I'm hurting from a land far, far away.

Help me with your best home remedies (I'm also stoking up my system with echanacea, vitamen C and Zinc).

Is decapitation a cure for the headache from hell?

6. Green Tea

by the gallon brew.
Aspirin with the V-C. They boost each other's efficacy. You can take more VC than aspirin, but could probably handle 500 mil. VC daily.
You are going to pee out the VC quicker than you absorb it. Aspirin helps absorb the VC, and the VC boosts the pain relief of aspirin.

and hard as it may be, keeping a positive outlook will do wonders. Remember what it feels to be well. Very tough to do when you feel like hell. But you have to try. And you have to have a head to do that...

its a nose gel, and it cuts flu and cold time in at least half, sometimes it completely kills it in a night.

10. Hot Toddy

Ingredients:

1 oz whiskey
1 stick Cinnamon
3 Cloves
1 slice Lemon
1 Sugar
4 oz boiling Water

Put sugar, cloves, cinnamon stick and lemon slice into a mug. Add the boiling water, stir and let stand for about 5 minutes. Add the whiskey and stir well.

13. There's a limit to how many Nyquil's one can buy at a time.

I found that out at Costco. The woman ahead of me wanted to buy two boxes of Nyquil capsules. According to Arizona law, you can only buy one a day or something like that. Something in it can be used to make meth.

15. My favorite remedy

Vick's Vaporub. Slather it all over your chest and back and keep repeating. Wear a sweatshirt so you get all hot and steamy. You could also throw a dollop in some hot water and take a towel and make a steam tent.

The stuff stinks and makes a mess but I swear it works.

16. The classic shot of whiskey and go to sleep! Seriously...

If you can get comfortable enough to fall asleep, that is the absolute best thing you can do. Sleep, and keep on sleeping.

And keep the liquids coming -- that'll eventually loosen up the log jam in your head.

17. buy some over the counter

guaifenisen pills.

This is the stuff in cough syrup but the quantity is
too small to do much good.

This stuff (along with lots of water) loosens the goop
so you can cough or blow it out.

One name is Humibid or something like that.

Ask the pharmacist.

Walgreen's has drive through, I think.

I'm practising extra hand washing after being in public places and staying home a LOT. Maybe I'll have my groceries delivered, too.

I'll just throw on an old leather cowboy hat (to cover my unkept hair) and jacket and creep in and out with a three day beard sounding gruff as hell. I'll probably scare anyone off from getting too close. :-)
