2. At this point
It seems like anyone who does have an ignore list, I must be on it because all of the votes so far are on Zero.

7. Zilch, and the need to ignore seems pathetic
I've insulted and been insulted, misunderstood and been misunderstood, but how petrified and emotional would someone have to be to physically go out of the way to exclude the thoughts of a (presumed) fellow Democrat?

Someone could be an idiot in GD, but a howl and with similar interests to mine in the Lounge.

The only outside possibility would be an absolutely relentless conspiracy whacko.

8. I am on half of DU's Ignore list
I have been on here almost as long as DU has been around so I would say that I am on at least half of the list of members ignore list.

Do I care? Hell No!

41. I have allways had an attitude of
I don't care who likes me and who hates me because I like everyone unless they do something bad to me.

I allways give people 3 chances and on the third strike they are out and on my Shit list for good.

I have written off men in the past and I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but after 3 tries they are off of my mind forever and they are dead in my book I will walk past the person and not even look at them after they burn me.

My philosophy is if you whine at me constantly about your life that only you have the power to change, or if you lecture me like you're my mommy, then you're gone, I'm not listening to you anymore.

24. You know, I'm a skeptic as well, but
I have no idea why some people feel compelled to harass others for their beliefs. I think you have the right to ignore someone who tries to hijack an astrology thread.

33. Thank you!
And the sad thing is these two individuals have posted some good stuff on other threads in the past. Their constant "freeper-level" disrespect towards the astrologers and those (like me) who like to read those threads without constant disruption have angered me to the point where I don't care what they have to say about anything else. They may be considered "good Dems" in other forums, but their true colors really come out in the Meeting Room, IMO. There are plenty of other posters who are skeptics, too, but they don't resort to cheap shots and disruption. They just shake their heads and leave the rest of us to our discussion. And that's ok!

34. Zero because "No man is at all hours wise".....
....While I may strongly disagree with some here 'from the other side of the tent', I believe that placing anyone on ignore is robbing myself of the opportunity to learn what perceptions others hold on issues I find personally important. I often will read something that causes me to stop and research a topic to find out what the truth of the matter is after reading a post by someone I don't agree with. From time to time I've learned new information in those searches that has altered my perception of a person or situation. It's not always a bad thing.

44. I have 18, added this week.
I've been here since the summer of 2001 and have only had one person on ignore before, I removed her and then she was banned the same day anyways. The person I disagreed with most, I never put on ignore and I always read her posts.

It's not a decision I take lightly, I have read many posts from the people that are now on my Ignore list.

I didn't put them on the list just because I disagree with them, I think that would be pretty good odds if there were only 18 people on this entire site that I disagree with.

I put them on because they call other DUers names AND I disagree with them. I don't need to waste my time reading the thoughts of someone who feels free to call another DUer a douche bag (for example).
