Things are not that bad...Twins will still be a big favorite to win the division...if they can pick up one more decent starter or a hot closer to replace Guardado...they could be quite formidable.

4. Twins fan checking in

Thanks for posting this, it's something I'd have to know eventually, although it is the kind of news that hits you in the gut. You get attached to them, especially Everyday Eddie. We thought it would be the end when they traded Rick Aguilara, too, but the Twins as an entity keep going and evolving. By the way, I go back all the way to 1961 with the Twins and remember how excited my dad was when they moved from Washington and gave us Minnesotans a team of our own.

6. Wow...a real long time fan

I've been a fan since 1968 when I was 7. I went to Bert Blyleven's first game which was a blast. Also caught a foul ball off the bat of Ted Uhlander...if you remember who that was you are a true fan :)
