8. Check the listings for beer steins.
I sold some of them on Ebay, let's see, 1999 or 2000 or about there. Never mind the Budweiser of the Year steins -- prewar German or Austrian or forgettit.

Prosit!

11. Hey Matcom, the best line about E-Bay belongs to Stephen King...
who said it was the lint filter for American consumerism (that's a paraphrase, btw).

Got to admit though, it can be fascinating and very entertaining!

13. Ebay is a great site as long as you use it right
I only go looking for things I want and know I can afford, generally. I may look at more expensive stuff I would like to buy sometime down the line to see if there's a better deal to be had than in the retail stores. Surprisingly the answer is sometimes "not really". I've bought items ranging from $5 to $250 on ebay (a 19" computer monitor that lasted me 2 years then something in it shorted... but it had a very nice picture for the price), and most of the big-time merchants are wonderful people to deal with.

18. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee
I use eBay all the time. I've purchased with them about 40 times in 4 years. I've never had a bad experience!

It's like Alice's Restaurant - you can get anything you want.

19. Hell,I bought a car off of E-Bay last Feb....
Went clear over to West Palm Beach to pick it up from Wichita--1660 miles. Was it a deal? Oh,you damn right it was. 2000 Grand Am,low miles, lots of options. Going at that time around here for $9500 to 10,000. Got it off of Ebay for $7200. Cost 106.00 for a one way flight and then a couple of hotel rooms and gas.

Had a blast and saved thousands--well except for that blizzard going through Oklahoma. Car runs like a top,its our daughters car....

22. Yer toast. Ebay addiction is as bad as DU addiction.
If you're one of those lucky folks with a job, you might as well
have your paycheck direct deposited into a paypal account, since
it's owned by ebay.

23. avoid paypal, but ebay rules!
Stick to money orders and sellers with high ratings...

They've got some good stuff at times.

'tis a good service, ebay.

Just avoid the frauds and don't report 'em because ebay will say they have no control and won't accept responsibility. (uh, any reputable business worth a damn should take some responsibility, what the F***?!)
