Finding DU is the best thing about the internet for me. Sure there are jerks (and you know,sometimes a poster will be snotty one day,and full of wisdom and kindness the next-just human nature),but there's humor,recipes,sad stories,happy stories, cats,dogs,candidates,tin-foil hats,favorite movies,music,books,poems,actors etc. Breaking news second to none,political debates, the odd freeperdisruptor. And science,weather,sports, and DUers who let you bend their ears.

I know I have a low post count....well just call me Ms. dial-up, my connection is so slow. There's so much to read here and follow I can't keep up. Also,the discussions have often moved on before my page has finished loading. But I enjoy it anyway.

I have a T1 at work, and probably peek and post more than I should, but my connection at home is soooooooo slow... so it is so tempting to use my work puter. If they'd pay me enough so I could justify getting DSL, I'd work harder! promise!!!!:-)

Can you all feel the joy radiating from the good mood I'm in today? I have no idea why, but I think Cheswick started it out pretty good earlier with her "spread the love" thread. So to Cheswick, Swede and all the other wonderful people I've met in this past year, I give you a :toast: . I may be stuck in this house most of the time being June Cleaver, but at least my spirit and my brain doesn't have to be.

It is a great place to meet people of like mind. I live in Saskatoon,a place most people never heard of,yet I can talk to my fellow Canadians,my American neighbours,there are DUers from Brazil,Germany,Australia,Britain etc.
