Looking for a history book suggestion

I'm interested in reading a book that has a bit about each president of the U.S. and the highlights of his presidency. I'm not really too interested in the biography aspect of where he grew up and all that jazz, just mostly about what he did or didn't do as president.

Any suggestions?

I can't think of one offhand, but you've certainly given me an idea for a book proposal, lol!

Doris Kearns Goodwin and Michael Beschloss are currently the two foremost and best presidential historians. Try looking for something under those names. I know they've both written biographies, but they've also written other presidential history books, so you might find something they've written along the lines that you're looking for.

2. "Presidential Anecdotes" by Prof. Paul F. Boller (TCU)

"Presidential Anecdotes" by Prof. Paul F. Boller (TCU)

Great little book which has funny and entertaining anecdotes about each President up to (I think) *Bush I. Not so much informative as it is entertaining.

He also wrote, "Congressional Anecdotes" and "Presidential Campaign" anecdotes.
