Poll question: Here it comes: Your favorite holiday movie?
Gawd, am I going to get flamed for leaving some out. OK, give me points for bravery. No half hour stuff here, these are MOVIES (made for TV OK). Here we go, and don't forget to leave a (civil) comment:

1. "The Lion in Winter"
Ok, it's not a Christmas movie per se...

But it takes place during Christmas. Henry II, his wife Eleanor of Aquataine, and their sons. Scheming, plotting, back stabbing.

It's my favorite film. And my favorite Christmas movie! :-)

3. Great film, you're right - but not one to list
Another poll someday: Favorite historical movie. Doubt that would get much interest, but I bet you would vote! Thanks.

4. Watched Scott's "A Christmas Carol" tonight. Brilliant.
I teared up again. What a brilliant performance, by George C. Scott. If you haven't seen it, please do so. And, yeah, I posted this. Just had to mention it. Thanks for the votes, on any of them.

5. difficult choice...
though I have to say it is Alistar Simm's Christmas Carol. Others have come close but haven't surpassed it. The George C. Scott version is also VERY well done. You just cannot help but crack up when you see Scrooge in the Simm wake up on Christmas Morning.

I know the version does takes some liberties with the actual story but the film is just soo very well down it really doesn't matter.

I also really enjoy watching a Muppet Christmas Carol.... the muppet version is also really entertaining.

6. "Muppet Christmas Carol" is a good choice. Here's my daughter's
My daughter (who is now 27) loved that one, too, and it brings back fond memories of snuggling up and watching it. She picks George C. Scott's "A Christmas Carol" and the wonderful "Holiday Inn" as her two favorites. I go along with those, but got to admit to a tear for "Miracle On 34th Street," as well.

9. Scrooge starring Albert Finney
The musical, Scrooge starring Albert Finney. Oof-dah! I love that movie and it seems I always miss it the one or two times it gets shown.

11. "Miracle on 34th Street" is my absolute favorite.
The orgininal 1947 version, of course. And it must be in black and white.
