Favorite Monty Python movie?
My vote goes for Life of Brian, which is a great commentary on religious zealotry.

I love that scene in the desert, where Brian's followers have chased Brian.

Brian: I'm not the Messiah, I'm not the Messiah! Honestly!!!
Female follower: Only the true Messiah would deny his divinity.
Brian: Well, what chance does that give me?!? All right, I am the Messiah!
Followers: He is the Messiah!
Brian: Now... FUCK OFF!!!
Male follower: Uh... how shall we fuck off, oh Lord?

4. Life of Brian
It works on many levels as a satire of religion, human nature, and Mideast politics.

11. Not sure whether to go with 'Holy Grail' or "Life of Brian"
I agree with you on 'Brian', but 'Holy Grail' has so many scenes that stand out in my mind.

17. The funniest part about "Life Of Brian"
Is that it's the most historically accurate portrayal (well, except for the spaceship) in the movies, of what it was like in Israel at that time.

19. Graham Chapman
Edited on Sun Dec-14-03 12:23 AM by Archae
I have on tape this show called "The Life Of Python," and the former Python troupers are talking about when they filmed "Holy Grail" and "Life Of Brian."

They said Graham Chapman was really hitting the sauce a lot during the time they filmed "Grail," and you can tell.

Chapman got sober by the time they filmed "Brian."
