1. Displaced aggression, probably
We cannot act directly against Bush, and our so-called representatives in the media and congress refuse to act. There is no channel for frustration, and so we attack each other.

I usually feel a great deal of empathy, compassion, and support.

Don't go to GD until the Democratic presidential nominee has been chosen -- that is, until things settle down after that point. That's where the real hostility is.

When I'm in GD (where I usually just lurk) I get a better feeling of what the country must've felt like during the Civil War.

edit: foolish mistake removed so as not to invite flames & create combustible atmosphere

5. I don't give a monkeys cuss about nominees
I'm talking about us liberals, I can't vote as I'm a Brit here in the USA but we have to stick together and act as a team or we will never win.

I hate to see us diss one another like immature kids, we need to get it together.

6. We're a diverse group
We're not a bunch of robots. There are going to be times that we disagree with each other. Nothing wrong with that. I think the positive outweighs the negative by a considerable margin.

7. I'll tell you why I have bad feelings...no one listens to each other.
People feel that it is fine to say Fuck Clark, Fuck Rangel, Fuck Gep, Fuck Kerry and Fuck Dean. IMO no one here should say FU to any of our public servants because no one here is perfect. No one here knows enough about anything to say FU about any Democratic candidate or elected official (maybe except Zell Miller.)

People don't read their posts before they post them. People come up with the most insane bullshit logic to prove a point and don't realize that what they are saying doesn't make any sense. People think their candidate and themselves for that matter are angels and that other candidates and their supporters should burn in hell.

I have been more than fair on this board. To see the utter bullshit being spewed all over is sickening. Every one is so obnoxious and righteous. WTF is that all about. Right now, I'm not ABB or ABD. I'm an independent cuz you're all makin me wish I'd never been a Demcorat.

I challenge each of you to go and reread some of your posts and look at the shit you post. I'm sure you'd be shocked at what you said and how you said it. Don't be so quick to assume that you or your candidate is perfect because none of us are.

8. A knock down drag 'em out in the primary is a good thing.
We will unify. Or maybe I missed the point of your post.

9. Yes, I think I know what you are referring to in the Lounge
People seem to forget that if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all.

Kicking someone when they are already down is just plain mean.

10. Empathy means not stomping someone’s ass for being a Republican
because they might just be stupid rather than a cold-hearted, selfish prick.

11. The "new PC" has made it vogue to be as rude as one wants to be
with no empathy. If called on the rudeness... the vogue thing to do is scream "censorship... how dare you try to limit my freespeech!" while doing so completely oblivious that the person responding was simply doing the same thing... expressing their freedom of speech.
