Then came the commercial for the Bundy Christmas episode, originally aired 13 years ago and losing a few minutes of footage to make way for more commercials...

5. I hope I can stay awake until then...
my cold -- or whatever this is -- is getting worse and now I'm running a fever (100.4°). I'd stay home tomorrow and call in a substitute teacher, but we have two more days of review, then finals. The kids need me for review -- a sub can't do it.

Guess I'm feeling somewhat important -- to go along with feeling very sick.

It's up to Bart and Homer and Marge and Lisa to cheer me up.
