adrift... can't post in GD and I'm a stranger in the Lounge...

today was the tipping point.

GD was a cesspit. i was sick and alone and...

even DU wasn't much of a respite. and, i post so seldom in the Lounge that i feel i'm not known here (even after over 10,000 posts)

i am NOT doing a 'goodbye' post. hate them. if you're going to leave DU have the good taste to do it quietly. i find these *i'm leaving* posts--that are never replied to--to be hateful and worthless.

my head is not in the sand.
i know we face hard issues.

but i have NOT given up. i have not surrendered.

if 'the insurgency' ends with the capture of SH, we have something to celebrate... if not, then, NOT.

Whenever I post in GD, I just say it and then quickly retreat most of the time. People can react however they want and if I don't see it, I don't care. I have enough friction in my life, that debates, while at times I like, I can't deal with at this point.
