Another sign of the X-mas season--The "Clapper" commercials are on!

Did anyone ever buy one? Just curious.

The only thing I know is that on The Simpsons, Homer tried clapping to shut off the light, and Marge informed him that they don't have "The Clapper," so he threw the lamp out the window!

Then, on South Park, the boys have a sleep-over at Kenny's, and Kenny turns off the light by clapping. They make a big deal about Kenny being so poor, so you can tell what the creators think of The Clapper!

As did the first "Wayne's World" movie!:D

I remember also that my father once saw a commercial for it and remarked, "You know, I'd be a little embarassed to admit that I had the 'Clapper'!":eyes:
