Feelin' the hate

It seems the DU gets mentioned a lot by right-wingers; apparently we're very hateful around here. Does Free Republic get the same kind of attention? Look, I know we try, and try hard, but let's face it, Free Republic beats us hands down when it comes to nastiness and mean-spirited posts. You know how right-wingers are always saying that liberals attack conservatives for their appearance? Just head on over to the Free Republic and punch in "Hillary" as a search keyword (Yes, she's a searchable keyword) and you can read post after post after post that just go on and on and on about her appearance. They really, really hate her there. You know it's pretty bad on a message board when a moderator has to post a reminder for people not to post messages that contain physical threats against another person.

So, why us? Why do we get the attention? Do people just not know about the Free Republic? I know I did not until recently. I've known about DU for a while because I always read the top 10 list each week.

I think the criticism here towards Bush pales in comparison to the outright bile against Bill and Hillary Clinton at Free Republic. And Al Gore. Oh, and they really hate us. In fact, they don't seem to like much of anything at Free Republic, aside from W.
