2. In the pantry.
But if you want "a wee nip", I don't have any Scotch. Irish, yes.

10. Well, it's not cognac per se,
It's an "exciting blend of cognac and fruit juices."

It's SUPPOSED to be refrigerated. The bottle told me so!

12. It's okay then!
Just plain cognac is best in a snifter, hand warmed. I'm actually about to have a little Pierre Ferrand Ambre right now. My throat is sore and cognac feels so good going down!

11. In an honest to goodness liquor cabinet
the wine is either in the coolers - one for reds, one for whites - or in the racks in the basement. The stout, lager, and hard cider (Woodpecker) are in their very own fridge. THey're generous, though - - they lease space to a few liqueurs that need refrigeration and the mimosas.

15. on the top shelf of a large closet.....and in a teak storage chest
(sort o' like a trunk)...and in a retro goofy cool 17th century globe that opens up to reveal 3 liquor bottles and several glasses (plus more on the shelf below)...and on the mantle....and tucked around the house too. And nice vodka in the freezer. This does not count the wine racks----dining room holds 130 bottles or so, downstairs another 200. It's full, so some wine is still in cases.

Ok, I hoard things...!

You should see my cigars....

19. I display the hard liquor in a 3-tiered stand I built
which sits on top of the buffet in the dining room. Wine is mostly in a small rack adjacent thereto. Beer in the fridge. We always try to keep a fully stocked bar.

22. On a shelf I cannot reach!
Edited on Tue Dec-16-03 01:42 PM by geniph
This is a habit formed very early which I have not yet managed to break - I put my OWN booze out of my own reach, just because, when I grew up, the liquor was always kept on the top shelf. Now I realize it was kept up there to keep it out of the kids' (read: my) reach...and it's still out of my reach, although the "kids" in my household are over a foot taller than I am (I'm 5'2" and my stepsons are 6'3" and 6'4"). I have to have the kids reach my own goddam booze down to me, or get a stepstool!

I gotta find another cabinet to keep the liquor in. But it "belongs" on the top shelf, right? :eyes:
