Dear God, NO, Shyamalan, stay the fuck away.
Shyamalan Applying for Harry Potter Job?

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/comments/?entryid=344860

""I haven't met with J.K. ," he continued. "The first one was offered to me, but that conflicted with "Unbreakable," which was unfortunate. I would definitely , but I think probably before that I would adapt a book. I've gotten close a few times to adapting books."

It would be the most ponderous, poorly-acted Harry Potter movie ever.

The underlying theme - we should fight the invaders because we have FAITH. Great message for the post-911 era. Not.

On Edit: Sorry for sounding like I'm in GD! :7 I'll behave. I promise. I just HATE that movie.

The Sixth Sense wasn't even that good. It had some very good performances, but it survives popularly mostly on the basis of its "twist". Seriously, have you tried to watch it a second time? It moves vvveeerrryyy slowly, full of pregnant pauses signifying nothing except Shaymalan's own self-importance.

This is one of the most overated directors in history.
