I'm totally straight, but thinking about gay sex doesn't "gross me out," it's just not there at all. I simply cannot even imagine being sexually attracted to another man, so it's a non-issue for me.

That's why I'm sort of suspicious when the radical anti-gay people get so emotional about the issue -- it makes me think that there must be some tickle in their subconscious or it wouldn't bother them so much.

I have alot of Gay friends...Being that im a male vocalist in a show with alot of male dancers. Most of which are gay. I actually can relate more with homosexual men then I can in most cases with hetero men. I got picked on alot in school so alot of them can relate pretty easily.

I can't even kiss my wife after a BJ. I know, it's almost a phobia. Go figure, some of my closest friends are gay - both sexes. 6. Pretty straight, but I was VERY confused for much of my adolescence.

Even though I was attracted to girls from the get-go, I would occasionally have homosexual thoughts up until I was 16 or so, then they just stopped. The interest suddenly went away. I think it was more boyhood curiosity than anything.

Even so today, I'm only about 95% sure I'm straight, only because it seems my interest in women is gone. My only girlfriend ever in my life dumped me like a shit after thanksgiving dinner (the day after Valentines Day, no less), and I was rejected countless times in high school. I'm wondering if I've developed an aversion to females. I haven't been interested at all in starting a new relationship after my ex-girlfriend dumped me.

I never have felt attracted to guys, always to girls, but my problem is that I lack the courage to say Hi I am John and I think you're a nice girl, would you like to go out with me sometime. I don't have that. It's like I am afraid of girls :cry:, I don't do good face to face, so I come out much better online than I am in life. Sigh. I'll find that special girl someday I hope. I know. I've been there. We all have---gay, straight, young, old. Nothing hurts worse than a broken heart. BUT---and here's the good news---you WILL recover. You'll move on. To men, to women? Who knows? It don't matter! What matters is that you know you're a good person, with lots to offer. At your young age, maybe you think this girl was THE ONE. And she was---for that time. But one thing I've discovered about the world: There are so many incredible people out there for you, and not just one, not just ten, not just a thousand but there are literally tens of thousands of potential lovers out there for you, any one of whom can make you feel better than this heart-breaker ever did. Maybe they don't even live in this country, or speak this language.

29. Yeah, the whole dating & romance thing ain't easy for us Aspies.

My last relationship ended pretty badly, and now I'm not so sure I WANT another one...the whole dating thing seems more trouble than it's really worth at this point, and in my experience usually seems to end badly, because, thanks to the AS, I can be kind of hard for a "normal" person to get along with or understand...which doesn't really help to facilitate open communication...I do better online than in person, too. I seem to be able to express myself more clearly in writing than in person, probably because that whole body language thing isn't there...I tend not to get other peoples' body language, OR to make eye contact when speaking to someone...which a lot of people seem to find disconcerting...sometimes I wonder if I'd have an easier time of it were I to meet a female Aspie, but...there aren't that many. Ah, well.

While I certainly prefer men, there are the occasionaly women I see where I can definitely see the appeal. And it's never anybody I know' it's always just some passing woman in a crowd. 32. While I might appear to be a SCREAMING queen here on DU...

in the real world, most people who first meet me don't know I am gay. And I went through the whole "your not gay, you just haven't found the right woman yet" phase, where I was alternating between men and women. It may surprise some of you to know that I was engaged to a woman, that she was pregnant and miscarried the baby (and yes, it was mine).

I think that sexuality is a continuum, which we spend different periods of our life on different parts of. So while in my past I had an attraction for both men and women, now all I am really interested in is men. But who knows where I will be 10 or 15 years from now, but my attraction to men has always been stronger than my attraction to women.

you do tease beautifully. I'm another of those "most people who meet me don't know I'm gay". Of course, I grew up during a time when it was 100% unacceptable to say the word homosexual, much less be one (rural south of the 1960's and early '70's.

I worked for a state agency for nearly 25 years. I never dated, lived with a male high school teacher in an old house, and talked about gardening and cooking. Anyone who couldn't figure it out was really stupid, but-since it wasn't work related-I really didn't think it was anyone's business.
