My landlord is a god...

He is an amazing human being. Although he has his own problems(he just got laid off from his OWN job)he is lowering my rent from $1500 to $1000 while my roommate and I are trying to muddle through on our unemployment checks. This makes so much difference,and is such an unbelievably kind thing for him to do. I just wanted to share it,because sometimes the world seems like a very cold place,and it is good to know that there is still a lot of goodness in it,too:)

Needless to say,I am NOT going to be complaining to him about the noisy kids that live upstairs.

My new tenant can't afford to have the power switched over to his name because of the hefty deposit, so I'm keeping it my name and letting him pay me every month. Nice of me, huh?

On edit: I let him move in with no deposit, too, even though he has terrible credit because of his divorce. Just to toot my own horn a little bit more.

11. My landlord is a POS, RW slumlord who is raising my rent for the 2nd time

in a year and wont do anything to fix this $1,000.00 a month shithole that I rent.
If you complain he evicts you. San Diego Co. has a "no cause eviction" law where landlord can evict tenants on a whim if they feel like it.
I wish that I had your guy!
