during the second gulf war (1991), when the socialists did govern France, he tried to force the french troops to use nuclear weapons against Iraq and labbeled the socialists cowards. The times they're a changing....
The stranglelove association did enter my mind, too, when I first saw the film and later the picture. The film was shown in the german TV shortly after the arrest of Saddam.
