Give it up for Mrs. Dash!

Was skeptical forever, but I decided to give it a try this week. It really ain't a bad alternative to salting everything up and screwing with your heart.

4. I Use a Lot of Spice Mixtures

and Mrs. Dash is right up there. Paul Prudhomme's are the best, especially the Vegatable Magic. Most but not all have some salt. Some of the mixtures in the Hispanic section, like Adobo and Sazon, are good, too, but the cheaper varieties tend to be salty.

Mrs. Dash's is good because it gives body. Meat or chicken broth also do that really well, as does a little sugar.
