DUisms: Which Are Most Insidious?
OK, so how many of you use DUisms in your daily speech outside of Internet land? And which ones?

The most durable one to enter my vocabulary is probably "the Chimperor" and variations thereof...I'm curious as to how many other people are out there using DU terms and getting strange looks from the uninitiated.

C ya,

2. But the question is:
Do you spell it out, or pronounce it as a word? I.e., "ell-oh-ell" or "Loll"?

I've always wondered...

6. LOL! I do the same thing!
I find myself using "tinfoil hat" alot, and of course the epithet "freeper"

I use "Repubes" a lot, but that's a Matt-ism which hasn't grown into a DUism quite yet. They need to go back to more sex-obsession on the right in order for that one to catch on

14. Kamika, your sig file is inaccurate, then
If you say L O L out loud you are by definition a geek. Remember, admitting there's a problem is the first step to recovery.

4. I find myself
constantly using "freeper" in place of "conservative," "fundy," or "right-wing wackjob." I usually get a "huh?" look.

17. I cuss a lot more in political discussions
This is really irksome when I find myself doing it in front of my 13 year old daughter. She's taken to reacting to news from Bush by muttering, "God, what a dumbass" just like her old man. Puts a tear in my eye.

I'm a teacher, so I have to make a concerted effort to watch what political opinions I espouse in class. It'd be unfair to corrupt the kids who are trying to figure out their own views of the world. But every now and then, when we do the mandatory flag Pledge in the morning, I'll catch myself rolling my eyes and saying, "oh, this shit again." I'll probably burn for that one.

22. Use 'em constantly
Smirk, The Boy King, the Resident, Rummy, Dr. Strangelove, Asscrack (Attorney General), Chimpy, used to use Ari the Liar until he quit.

I seldom have to explain what they mean.
