We just had an earthquake. I would guess about 4.0 or so. I'm in Oakland.

It was over in about a second or two. The blinds didn't even slap against the windows.

I lived in Alameda in 1989. Scary as hell. Hope everyone is OK. Sounds like a little tremor.

8. I thought it was higher...

based on how hard it hit my house. I'm up on bedrock in the City and it felt like the corner of my house got hit by a really big truck.

Maybe I'm just out of practice -- it HAS been awhile since we've had a sizable one. :)
