I just got back from Lord of The Ring
It is an amazing movie. The story, the acting and the effects are just unreal. Many of the theaters here in NY are sold out or near sell outs. The theater I went to had it on 2 screens and both were packed. People really enjoyed it. There was also a preview for Spiderman 2. That looks really good to. Just wanted to share. :)

1. I just saw it, too
and agree it was amazing. Best of the three, in my view.

2. Terrifically good. Felt the worst for Elrond. What a low blow this all
was for him.

3. Oh, he had it tough his whole life
Have you seen his bio?

Let's see, his parents have attained basically a form of godhood, so he hasn't seen them since he was a child, and likely never will.

His childhood home was sacked in an elf-on-elf war, and he was adopted by the people who led the massacre.

And his wife, Celebrian, was captured and "tormented" by orcs to the point where she had to leave him for Aman, so he hasn't seen her for over 450 years, either.

One of his children is choosing to become mortal, so he'll never see her again, in this life or the next. And his twin sons have yet to make the choice, but they did remain behind when Elron left for Aman soon after the beginning of the Fourth Age.

He had a really tough life.

5. Saw it last night...
I loved it! Thought it was the best of the three, and in my top 10 movie list of all time.

I'm not into comics, but Spiderman 2 looks like it will be Ok.

I liked the preview for the new Ashton Kutcher movie, something about being able to manipulate your past... freaky!
