3. For one of my old answering machine messages...

...I spliced together two 1940s radio ads, one for Lava soap, the other for a chocolate drink mix.. Coincidentally, both featured the same announcer, so the gag worked even better!

Anyway, for several months in 1992, when folks got my answering machine, this is what they heard: "Be sure to wash your hands, and always before meals, with...sweet, chocolate-flavored Ovaltine!"
