What's a fancy resume way of saying I started something?

I'm filling out a self-evaluation that asks about my responsibilities. I want to mention that I started a guitar elective a few years back. What's a BS "resume" way of saying such a thing?

you authored both the program proposal and the course curriculum, as well as managing the successful pilot program. Now, you need to end with a positive response/success statement re the program.
