Nothing but philosophical-idealist nonsense.

3. I think they're all great. |
|
Narcissus and Goldmund is my favorite, though.
Objectively, I'd say the best one is The Glass Bead Game.

Knulp.
Found it at the library long ago, but I haven't seen it anywhere since. Perhaps it has another name.

I read most of his books in mny late teens/ early twenties. I found Steppenwolf to be the most rewarding. As much as I enjoyed these books when I was younger, I'm not sure that I'd be interested in re-reading them now.

disgusting bilge to ever come putridly frothing out of a human mind - maybe the single worst collection of filth that will ever, for all of human history, be put forth by one person.

It must be the lack of coffee. This is the 2nd time people joked and I sheepishly fell for it.

19. Siddhartha is my favorite novel of all time |
|
The prose is lucid, concise and has the feel of an extended parable. The story is touching and relevant.
