I did real good today!
My sister loves to cook, and she loves to have good cooking utinsils. She had a heavy duty turkey roasting pan spotted at one of the local Sam's Club stores, but due to a financially rough year she couldn't afford it. We go there often, and she always goes right to that roasting pan to make sure it is still available. I know she's been scheming on how to get it (her hubby is a selfish prick and would have raised hell if she'd have bought it-- the cockbiter!).

Finally, I couldn't stand it any more, so I went in today and bought it for her as a Christmas present. She was there when I got home, so I just handed her my truck key and told her this was as close as she was going to get to unwrapping her present. She ran out the door and unlocked the truck, and discovered her very own turkey roasting pan on the front seat.

She's been talking about it the rest of the day.

Damn, I really feel great when I do things like that!

This is a good opportunity, so I may as well take advantage of it and wish you all at DU a slightly early MERRY CHRISTMAS (or happy holidays)!

Peace to you all.

2. Did she cry?
It isn't a really good gift if they don't cry. I made Dad cry last year. I'm working on my sister this year.

5. Wow! That is so wonderful!!
Maybe she'll even use it to cook Christmas dinner!

My grandmother had a cast iron turkey roaster. It passed to my mother and we used it for years when I was growing up. Several years ago, mom gave it to my sister for her family. Whenever I see it, I think of grandma, mom, and all the wonderful holiday meals that sucker has produced.

Your sister will have that roaster for many many years to come and think of your generosity every time she uses it. You done good, Prisoner!
