Suppose the phone rang at your house....
And you picked it up. And the voice on the other end said "This is the White House. Please hold for the President".

And HE came on the line. He was calling random Americans to find out their mood...their feelings about America today. And you had a chance to respond.

Now, I know this scenario is pure science fiction...it ain't gonna happen.

But suppose it did. And you had a chance to tell the President of the United States exactly how you felt about this country today.

What would you say to him?

I would ask why there isn't attention given by this administration to the working people and poor in this country. How millions of jobs have been lost. That people are scared in this country...because of the fear of losing their jobs, their livelihoods.

1. I would tell him, he is using my telephone equipment and service for......
his political purposes without my permission and I intend to send him a bill for that and take legal action if it is not paid promptly.

2. George, you were born on third base
BUT YOU DIDN'T HIT A TRIPLE.

Why did you desert your military unit?

Why did you profit from insider trading at Harken?

Why did you lie during your SOTUA?

Why does your past have to be such a secret?

Why can you find a man in a hole in the desert but you can't find a criminal on your own staff?

4. I would be polite and friendly
And recognize that nothing I said to him would have any impact upon him, and if he asked, let him know that he wouldn't be getting my vote. And I'd thank him for having the guts to call random people, and wish him well.

6. The first thing I'd tell him is probably that he's not looking very good
...to the rest of the world, and then I'd put my fiance on the line, because if the POTUS called any house where I happened to be, it would be his. I'm not one of his constituents, normally!

I'd be polite, though, because, as angry at him and his crew as I am, it would be unCanadian to be otherwise...

7. I would be polite and respectful.
I would tell him in a very straightforward, but polite, manner that the people in this nation are frightened, and that they need jobs and a guarantee of decent health care. Then I would thank him for calling and hang up.

8. Not that it would make a difference, but I would be civil...at the same
time, however, I would let him know how angry I am about the consistent lies and hypocrisy of his misadministration, and I would tell him how his policies are really affecting real people, who do worry about putting food on the table. I would tell him that I think Republicans and Christians are two distinctly opposite kinds of people and that if one claims Christianity one cannot possibly in good conscience be or support a Republican, and that I believe him to be a disgrace to our country and a traitor in the truest sense of the word: he has violated his oath of office repeatedly in his trashing of our Constitution.

9. I'd tell him to put me on his "do not call" list....
Then hang up.
He wouldn't be interested in anything *I* had to say, even though Herr Arschloch might....

... "Get a map George: I'm in the UK!"

(but I don't think he could string that many numbers together to dial me)

14. I'd tell him exactly how I feel.
I'd unload every bit of despair and fear and helplessness that I feel. Then I'd ask him what he plans to do about it...
