13. I remember that well.

I got both the Abby Road and Crosby Stills and Nash albums for Christmas that year. My brother got "Let it Bleed". I was 12 and my brother was 14 and we were so into music.

My 22 year old brother gave me Crosby Stills and Nash who were new to me. I immediately became crazy for them and also saved my allowance for their next album, DeVu with Neil Young.

Music was so good back then! Not to mention that the Band came out that year too and Creedence did some of their finest work.

17. Yeah, 1969 was probably the best ever year for rock.

The Who, The Band, The Stones, The Beatles, Zappa put out FOUR albums that year (all of them brilliant), Captain Beefheart's "Trout MAsk Replica," Black Sabbath was just forming, all sorts of great obscure stuff just beubbling under the surface, like Josefus....Elvis's "Kentucky Rain," Jesus, I could go on and on....

Always loved 'em. Best singles band ever, plus they were influential to two of my favorite bands, AC/DC and The Minutemen.
