Say what you will about Steve Miller Band - but secretly I know that when the song comes on the radio, you turn up the volume and sing at the top of your lungs:
I'm a Joker, I'm a Smoker, I'm a Midnight Toker Get my loving on the run

Easy to play on guitar too! Some interesting single note acoustic stuff going on. BTW: That whole album is really good! The Professor

Violent Femmes.
I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like the Steve Miller Band. That greatest hits album was issued to us in high school.

I can change the stations and/or toss the radio out the window before they get through the first measure of that song.

5. Start a I like Steve Miller Band thread - they exist |
|
and they all have memberships here at DU
My SMB Greatest Hits was issued to me my Freshman year of college. I think I was the one that start the SMB Greatest Hits trend during that era. When I started college no one owned that Cassette and by the end of college I had everyone owning a copy

10. Boz Scaggs used to be in Miller's band |
|
back when I liked them: Children of the Future, Sailor, etc. (Although I think he'd left by Brave New World, which is my favorite Miller LP.)

I always sing along to that song, SMB or no. It's one of their few good songs.
