Lots of music in it, but if I remember correctly there wasn't a whole lot of actual singing by anyone other than Olivia Newton John.

aside: god I loved her in that movie, but I was like 8 when it came out. I'll bet if I saw it again I would not think it was as good as it is in my memory.

unwatchable, at least from that standpoint. I love The Tubes; I saw them live around that same time.

25. I saw them at Dooley's in Tempe, Arizona in 1980. It's a large bar near

the Arizona State University campus. By the time I saw them, Re (the only woman in the group, I believe) had already quit. But they were still great in concert. I waited in line and got to be in the very front row. This was right after their "Remote Control" album came out. They passed out a survey as you went in, and you voted for what songs you wanted to hear, and at certain points during the concert they played the top 5 vote getters, from 5 to 1. They also played a lot of songs from "Remote Control" as well as their usual standards (White Punks on Dope, Don't Touch Me There, What Do You Want From Life, etc.) but it was a no-frills concert without all the handing out of gifts and elaborate stage antics. It was a lot of fun though.
