post your very own schlocky sophomoric bad poetry here
i'll start:

blinded by the transfiguration
of the crystalline knowledge
of one heart's desire

i lay prostrate beneath the temple of sacrifice
and think potently of her

2. ok,
but if any of you f*ckers laugh, i'll laugh with you

Tomorrow

the deepening darkness
soothes and enlightens
the past fades away
memory yields to pride
the monster approaches

once upon a time
i was sweet and beautiful
to look at me now scarred and hollow
the tape worm stares from my eyes

i hear your laughter and i cringe
your amusement is hurtful
fool, how could one be such a fool

the window is splattered with rain
the drops mark life
scattered, raucous at times
soft and peaceful at others

fragmented moments of time
collect to form puddles and surround me
separated by emotions, pleasure and pain
i dance thru their depths
exhilarating in the distortion
in the middle of the pool of my creation
i come to rest, finding solace there

touch the dew and connect with the past
walking through the grass barefoot and free
in love with the world
on par with the divine
the center of being flows
as the rose petals fall
and i am taken up by the worm

the laughter is heard again
i sink lower into the covers
entangled in the abyss
i drift off to sleep

tomorrow is tomorrow

3. I was feeling really inspired at the coffee shop one day
I was smoking a clove cigarette, trying not to look down the blouses of the barristas and here's what I wrote in my notebook

Hear Me Calling
Slack Motherfucker
A Million Miles Away
She's A Mover
She Twists The Knife Again
Bone Machine
Good Dreams
Pseudo-Intellectual

4. another
Why do I keep my mind on you all the time
And I don't even know you

Why do I feel this way
Thinking about you every day
And I don't even know you

Take me in your arms
Thrill me with all of your charms

And I'll take to the sky on a natural high
(I want to take to the sky)
Loving you more 'till the day I die
(On the natural high)
Take to the sky on a natural high
(I want you to be mine)
Loving you more.

If you have anything to do
Call me and I will do it for you
And I don't even know you

If I only had one wish to give
That wish would be for you to live forever and ever.
When I see you on the street
My heart skips a beat

And I'll take to the sky on a natural high
(I'll just take to the sky)
Loving you more till the day I die
(on a natural high)
Take to the sky on a natural high
(Loving you more and I don't know you)
Loving you more

I'm gonna try to do
All the things you want me to
If you'll just give me a chance
I'm trying to make something out of a nothing romance
And I don't even know you

Take me in your arms
Thrill me with all of your charms

And I'll take to the sky on a natural high
Loving you more 'till the day I die
(To the sky)

I'll take to the sky on a natural high
Loving you more

8. Are lymericks ok?
There once was a man from Saint Brittle
Who told the doctor his unit was little
The treatment, I guess
Was a smashing success
'Cause he now needs a bell tower to piddle

I know it's lame...it's about as good as I get

9. Ode to George W. Bush
Roses are red, violets are blue,
The Iraq war sucks, and so do you.

Violets are blue, roses are red,
You lied and now thousands of people are dead!
