We're planning our vacation next month...Need Help.
We're headed to Buffalo National Park in Arkansas to camp. We're planning on renting a vehicle of some kind. We're thinking about Enterprise. What is the story on them?
Anyone ever been to Buffalo National Park? ARe there bears? What will we need? I'm surfing the net and we're going to barnes and noble tomorrow to get books, but while I'm surfing, anyone have any advise? Thanks a ton.

Sounds beautiful and peaceful, Duckie! O8)

Have you ever camped where there are bears?

3. Bears are no problem while camping.
Just follow the rules. No food in the campsite unless you are eating. Don't keep food in the tents, use a bear bucket. Black bears are easy to chase off- just bang some pots and pans together and yell at them.

Have fun!

bring a camera, if you don't have a photo, a lot of people will express skepticism of any bear sighting

i drive my own car in arkansas, but i've rented from enterprise at other locations and they're terrific, you call them and they will come out to where you are and pick you up, this is because their business started as rental cars for people having their cars repaired

when you drop off, they can also usually get someone to drive you over where you need to be

i have now even seen an enterprise in an airport so they are branching out to the tourists, indeed, i have gotten quotes for deals for them off travelocity recently

so i like them fine

i think the raccoons would be more problematic than any bears, always secure any food or edible items like toothpaste in the car, NOT in the tent

8. Thanks for the heads up on Enterprise.
They were the cheapest by far that we have found. I think we're going to rent a small SUV. I don't want to get to the park and not be able to get around. I'm so excited about seeing all the wild life. And I'm planning on doing a lot of photography. I think that may be what we give people for Christmas. Find a nice matte and a nice frame. I'm so excited about this trip.
