Drink called Kickin' Jenny... What's in it? Supposedly named for a volcano

Somebody mentioned a drink by that name and we can't find it.

Anybody?

1. I found a recipe for a Blonde Jenny

1 1/2 oz dry vermouth
1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz orange juice
1 dash orange bitters

Pour the vermouth, gin, orange juice and orange bitters into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a slice of orange, and serve.


I am guessing you Kickin Jenny has GIN in it as well.

I checked on Drinksmixer.com and found this among 6-7 drinks with Jenny in the name but alas, no Kickin' Jenny.

By the way, I thought it was a nautical term. But perhaps the device was carried on ships back in the days of yore to keep the crew disciplined. My bet is that it's a rum drink.

9. I remember that.

The very, very, famous volcano named Kickin' Jenny. I think it was named around the year 4 B.C. It was named after a girl named Jenny. Oh, ha ha, my. That girl was always kicking. She kicked so much that they named a volcano after her.
