This is a weird request. If you owned or raised dogs in 1950s or 1960s...
There was a green shampoo that I used for my Boston Terriers.

It smelled pretty good -- thick and gooey -- and it came out of the bottle close to the color of AVOCADO GREEN. I remember it was sold by veterinarians.

But I can't remember the name of this product! It's driving me nuts....... you know that feeling?

So, in order to see what reminded me of this -- go to:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com (That's a film reviewing site.)

As the page loads -- if it's slow enough, you'll see a whole splash of the color before the text and pictures load.

If you can tell me the name of this dog shampoo product, I'll give you a big DU hug!

Warm regards,

Radio_Lady in Oregon

of that shampoo.

I can still remember the smell of it, too. I'll bet if I had a bottle of it here, I could identify it with my eyes closed.

Is this the strangest thing? An olfactory memory.

3. No, it wasn't Prell -- a clear green liquid and not a vet product.
The shampoo was not clear -- it was quite the opposite.

Also, it was not for human use!

But, thanks for the guess anyway!

5. Are you talking about Adam's Flea & Tick Shampoo?
I don't get it from the vet, but at the petstore. Its a blue-green, and thick, and smells really good.

local pet store. The shampoo was used for gentle cleansing for dogs with mange or other skin irritations. It didn't have any flea or tick repellent qualities, as I recall.

This was so many years ago that I'm afraid I won't get an answer.

The vet dispensed it into his own bottle, so I never associated the shampoo with any company.

Thanks for trying!

11. Could it be Dr. Brocks Pine Gloss?
I have no idea the color of Dr. Brocks. I googled vintage dog shampoo and ended up with an ebay link to a sign for Dr. Brocks.
