Poll question: If I do the Time Warp, can I go back to the Clinton era?

You know, when gas was 89 cents and the main national concern was a stain on a dress?

1. If you want to go back to the land of ignorant luxury, feel free.

Since I didn't get to partake of any of that, not even the premise of security it offered so many, I'll pass.

I think if you even try that though, the Universe will be so pissed at you for crapping out on the fight for the future that She'll stick you back in the Lewinsky era. Or in late 1998, just after the tech stock crash. When music sucked almost as bad as it sucks now, (I mean, N Sync was still hot for gods' sake) there was nothing but pure shit in the theaters, and there was even more apathy about governmental corruption than we face at the moment. I mean, if you wanna risk it, be my guest, but I wouldn't go back to the '90s (especially not early-through-mid-'90s) if someone PAID me.

5. I just remember being a lower wage worker.
And looking back, having gas be significantly cheaper than it is now was a good thing for someone only making 7.50. Hell, that was above minimum wage, and still is, and I was scraping by. Now, I can't imagine how people making a low wage are getting by with fuel prices, interest rates, housing costs and inflation.

I wasn't looking to be serious when I made this poll, really, but for the average working person, times were a hell of a lot better in the 90's.
