Where's Carlos Jiacinto?

I did a search of his posts, and he hasn't posted since early Sunday morning, December 7.

For those of you who don't know, he was a young DUer (in his 20's, I believe), and I think (though I am not 100% certain) he recently got a degree in political science in Washington, DC.

Over the last couple months, his life has been shattered. He lost his job, he was robbed at gunpoint, and many other things have happened that I can't remember. He moved to Florida earlier this year, where all of that took place. He then moved to Iowa.

I am concerned. Does anybody know what has happened to him? I fear something terrible may have happened.

1. I think he got robbed

Then some gang scared him.. then he got robbed again.. beaten up, robbed, scared, robbed some more.. then he moved to another state and was forced to live with his relatives and that sucked cuz they didn't have cable.

Carlos was a valuable asset to DU, IMO. I think the Admin should let him back in.

9. I don't know exactly what he did that led to him being banned.

I think it had something to do with Al Sharpton somehow.

got banned for being uncivil in a "Daily Democrat" thread. He did it to himself really. Ashame, b/c I wonder what happened to him.

13. I find that kind of shocking -

many people have been VERY uncivil to him and he has always been polite in response. I guess the bashing he took around here for so long finally got to him. His major fault - being a centrist and being adamant about it. He is much more centrist than me, but I admired him for sticking to his principles, his stubborness, AND his usual politeness in the face of insults. Sometimes the wrong people get banned, after they have taken all they can handle and finally blow.

I didn't see the thread that got him banned, but I can't imagine one thread getting him banned, unless he got very rude with the admins. Anyway, there are a few folks around here who won't have him around to dump on any more. They seemed to follow him from thread to thread just so they could insult him, usually totally off subject to the thread.
