I came here back in 2001, but you guys all scared me so I pretty much just lurked until this year. Then, I decided to start being social and now I'm shamelessly ripping this idea off of NewWaveChick1981. :hi:

I'm a Yankee fan too, but if I ever wore a t-shirt like that in eastern CT, I don't think I'd get back to NYC alive. You can get away with it tho, because you're way cuter than I am. (understatement of the decade)

4. I actually bought it close to eastern CT.

I got it at the t-shirt shop in Watch Hill, RI. Yes, my cuteness has gotten me out of sports fan debachles before. At one of the Giants/Eagles games I was at last year, we had gotten taken a TO jersey (won it at a bar) and destroyed it at the tailgate. We were actually on the ESPN website for it. Anyway, during half-time I go out to the spiral for a smoke and my lighter died, so I walked up to a guy wearing no team paraphenalia and ask him for a light. He looks at me and says, "weren't you the one taking pictures of the Eagles jersey getting run over by the Eagles fan bus?" I'm like, "uh yeah..." and he goes, "yeah, I was on that bus." My response was, "but I'm cute" and he said, "okay" and gave me a light. Any of my guy friends would have ended up in a brawl.

Having been to several Giants-Eagles games, both in the Meadowlands and in Philly, I can really appreciate that story.

And that is a very rare thing, indeed.

I lived in Philly for a while and gained some understanding of the Philly sports fan mentality.

Not a pretty picture. They are as nasty towards their own teams, when they are down, as they are towards the Giants, Rangers, etc.

Btw, Joani and I try to figure out the meet-up in NYC with you and Starbucks and maybe lioness if she is interested. As I fly out of Newark Saturday evening, Joani and I could take a hotelroom Friday to Saturday. So you all could come out and we have a party night together. What do you think?
