I generally regard your contributions highly, so whatever you did that got under my craw, I forgot about it. I am not a grudge-holder, so even if you don't ever forgive me, I have to thank you for your candor and direct communication and must let you know that I respect your opinion of me, for I am sure it was fairly earned.

10. i would have never imagined Steve Irwin would end up being the

subject of such heated comments and arguments, i thought the 04 primaries were bad, Reagan dying, yup bad, the Pope's passing-run!!!, new Pope picked, hold me, Israel/lebanon--yikes and finally the firing of Mike Malloy but the same type of flame fest about Steve Irwin? GD will never recover.

I was never a big watcher of Irwin but my daughter enjoyed his shows and we did see his movie and every kid in that theater was mesmerized by him.

When Reggie White died, I was so very sad. I called my nephew to let him know (he lives in PA, but is a huge Packers fan), and the poor kid got real quiet - I could tell he was crying. So I get on DU, and the first thing I see are a bunch of posts of people saying they're gonna piss on his grave, and they're glad he's roasting in hell.

I came very, very close to leaving DU forever on that day. Then I decided I wouldn't let the assholes get me.

But since that time, the number of assholes has increased... and people seem more willing to show their ass-holery.
