Did they stop making big cans of cat food?

I can't find large cans of any brand of cat food. Friskies, Iams, Science Diet, Trader Joe's, supermarket brand. (I don't want a lecture about who tests on animals or who has byproducts -- my point is: NOBODY has big cans anymore.) Target used to carry a few; now they don't. Same with Pet Supplies Plus. It's just the 6-ounce (our cat eats about 1.3 a day) or the 3-ounce cans (she eats about three a day), which means lots of extra packaging.

Is there a reason for this? We'd refrigerate the unused portions of a big can but it's not like covered refrigerated cat food goes bad in a day...does it?

4. Petguard makes them, so does Spot's Stew, but they're super pricey.

Petguard is expensive, but Spot's Stew is absurdly expensive.

That's one of the reasons I was looking for big cans in the first place -- a 3-ounce can is 50 cents, a 6-ounce can is 70 cents, but a 14-ish-ounce can was $1.14.

But you'll have to go to a Whole Foods Market or natural pet store to find it.
