LaraMN vs. MRLaraMN: the Turd War.

So I opened the door to the basement last night, and was greeted by the wafting scent of backed-up sewer. I sauntered downstairs and found that not only had the back-up resulted in a small pool of water, but it was POOPY water. Having dealt with the last half-dozen or so instances of sewer sputum, and having company, I informed MRLaraMN of the situation, and asked that he remedy it. He returned shortly and reported having dealt with the drain, and tidied up the floor. I hithered to the basement later that night, to deal with laundry, and found, near the drain, a sizable piece of TURD! I told MrLaraMN, and he rather shrugged it off. I refuse to clean up the turd, and as such, we have reached a stalemate. I am waiting to see who will crack first and pick the damn thing up. I have to go down there to do laundry, but he has to go in the basement to access his computer. We shall see...

The drainage system in parts of Chicago really stink, so any time we had really heavy rains, the basement of our frat house flooded with sewage. I've mopped more shit than I care to even think about.
