Make your Really Bad Repub Analogy! The Iraqi War is like _______
The Republicans have been treating us to a bundle of false comparisons.

Condi is now comparing the war in Iraq to the American Civil War.

Bush compared it to Nazi Germany, and like the appeasement of Neville Chamberlin, or the fight against Communism.

I think that the war in Iraq is like ..... the trench warfare in WW1! World Cup Soccer playoffs! The Norman conquest of England! Attilla the Hun!

What is your analogy?

4. The Iraq War is like the movie Demolition Man
where John Spartan wakes up and hes the only real tough guy left. Except for Wesley Snipes. And he has all this kung fu shit, and he knows how to hack computers and make bombs. And the guy who runs everything is a total fascist, but no one can see that but John Spartan. Even though he isn't supposed to swear or have sex, he says "fuck that", and then, like, kicks all those guys asses at Taco Bell before going in the sewer where he meets Dennis fucking Leary and finds out that he leads a resistance to the evil fascist guy but since everyone on the surface likes him no one supports him or his war until John Spartan comes along, and then Wesley Snipes shows up and is like "I musta done something right in a past life, but I can't imagine what" and he starts shooting and Spartan runs off and finds a sweet car and starts driving around like only a 1990s badass can, and then he shoots the fascist guy in the head and fights Wesley Snipes in the containment room and freezes him AND THEN HE KICKS HIS HEAD RIGHT FUCKING OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

16. The Iraq war is like the American Revolution.
On the one hand, you have a legally installed government. On the other side, you have a handful of cold-blooded murderers and vandals who oppose the legitimate government and will stop at nothing to see it toppled. Al Quaeda's (which is arabic for 'The Patriots') number 1 man was George Washington, a former British soldier turned traitor who commanded the renegade 'army'. These terrorists were responsible for a whole series of disgusting acts. They raided a cargo ship and destroyed it's contents. They killed numerous British citizens, including the roadside attacks on British soldiers who were carrying out legal orders.

So you damn Democrats who oppose the war in Iraq would have supported the traitors in 1776 as well.

17. 'The Iraq war is like a big jam doughnut with cream on the top'
"Huh?"

"It was one of Rumsfeld's."

"I never said that!"

"You did, Don. You did."

(W glares at Rummy.)

"Uh... what I meant, Mr. President, is that the war's arrival brought us pleasure, and its departure will only make us hungry for more."

(Laughter.)

"Yer doin' a heckuva job, Rummy."

"The Iraq war is like a stream of bat's piss."

"Huh??"

"It was one of Rice's."

"I didn't say that!"

"You did, Condie. You did."

(W glares at Rice.)

"Ah... uh... I merely meant, my husb... uh, Mr. President, that the war shines out like a shaft of gold when all around is dark."

(Laughter.)

"Yer doin' a heckuva job, Condie."

(Rummy and Rice nod to each other.)

"The Iraq war is like a dose of the clap."

"Before it arrived was pleasure, but after is a pain in the dong."

"Huh???"

"It was one of Cheney's."

"You bastards!"

"Well, Dick?"

"We've got him, Condie."

"Come on, Dickie."

"Uh...

"Come on, Dickie."

"Uh... ar.... ah... oh, go fuck yourself!"

(Laughter. W shakes Cheney's hand.)

"Yer doin' a heckuva job, Dick."

23. a guy with $150,000 being outbid constantly by a guy with only $200
at an auction, because the guy with $150,000 is too goddamned dumb to know how to use it properly, even with a bunch of his wealthy friends adding a few thousand of their own dollars into the pot, and instead of trying to figure out how to outbid the guy with $200, he spends his time making sure that no one else in the auction room can go to the bathroom while leaving all his $150,000 sitting around on tables for anyone to just take whenever they feel like taking some, although he doesn't think that leaving it unprotected on tables is a bad idea and so he blames the people for being thieves, although he doesn't do anything about it except make sure they can't use the bathroom.
