Selfish Bastards in the Laundry room...
As most of you know we live in an apartment building. We do our laundry once a week in the laundry room. Anyway, we have some seriously selfish bastards in our building. Tonight, someone left no less than 8 loads of laundry to sit in the dryers. There are at the most 16 dryers. So that left 8 for people to fight over. There are 14 washers. So, that left 14 loads to 8 dryers. What the hell?! What is wrong with these bastards. And you know when they realize they left their laundry down there they're going to think it's funny they were inconsiderate assholes to everyone else who has better things to do with their life than do fucking laundry. What the fuck is wrong with people? Don't they know the world doesn't end at the tip of their nose? :grr: I hate people...

3. Just take their laundry out of the dryers and place them on the top or
in chairs or boxes or *gasp* on the floor. How rude to take up eight dryers in the first place - but to not be there to retrieve their laundry is VERY rude.

My husband and I did laundry at a college laundry facility for six months while we saved up for our new washer/dryer set and we ALWAYS waited for our laundry to be finished washing/drying so that others could use the machines (and we left the carts available and cleaned the lint traps).

Living in a community means acting community minded. :grr:

4. We set a timer.
The longest it ever set was 10 minutes.

6. I know, I have no problem doing that no matter where I do laundry.
And I don't care if someone removes mine as long as they don't put it on the floor,

7. *blush*

I only did that if there was absolutely no where else to put the clothes and the people weren't polite enough to leave a basket or box to put their dry clothes.

At my old apartment complex we got to know each other so well that we'd leave our baskets on the dryer, when the load was done whoever put their clothes in next would return the basket to the person who owned it. (Okay, 1 I live in Iowa 2 It was only a four-plex 3 that was a decade ago and maybe things have changed).

9. Everything gets stolen in our building.
Except for the stuff IN the machines. It's all very screwed up.
