Ugh. These 'save a patient from cancer' hoax emails are making

the rounds again.

A 'friend' of mine, (the family we have been helping to support for the better part of a year) sends this email about how the American Cancer Society will donate $.03 every time you forward the email :eyes:

I respond "please don't do this. these hoaxes actually hurt legitimate organizations" and I include the snopes link.

I get an email back that she didn't mean to offend, she was only sending the poem, blah, blah, blah.

This morning, I get an email from a moran with his/her head in the sand telling me "you obviously don't know *** very well".

Yeah, you're right. I don't. But my fucking checkbook knows her intimately.

I'm just a little irritated. She sends this 'pull at your heart strings' emails all the fucking time. I know that she's worried about her kid, but there are other people who are having a hard time as well and I resent being manipulated like that. Shit, one of my dearest, oldest friends is at Johns Hopkins with her husband because he had his legs amputated on Sunday. Frankly, that's what is occupying my thoughts right now.
