It is an invitation to make an offer. Unless it asks the public to take specific action which would constitute acceptance, in which case the advertiser is bound to perform with regard to those members of the public who perform as requested.

Why do you ask?

6. My contracts prof says you can still buy the smoke balls in England,
but all I've found online are variations on "I used a Carbolic Smoke Ball, but still got a B- in contracts" T-shirts.

My contracts prof also says a colleague of his visited the Lucy v. Zehmer farm this summer. Even visited the cemetery and took photos of headstones of the litigants.

Contracts profs are weird.
